Springtime Butterflies

This project was designed by my good friend Amanda with a little bit of help from ME. She came by one day for a play date.... our daughters played together while we crafted. LOVE play dates!! Amanda needed to borrow my beautiful butterflies die.. (not sure why she doesn't have it!!?? wink...wink.) She came over with an idea of what kind of card she wanted to create including the colour scheme and the fold of the card. She knew that she wanted to place an "embossed" butterfly on the fold out part of the card. Together we added the vintage wheel, vanilla card stock inside and stamped the greeting at the bottom right hand corner to finish up the card. I loved the outcome so much i just had to CASE it for my card club this month. -- did i say i LOVE it when she borrows stuff.. that means i have something to CASE! ohhh A you are sooo sooooo Amazing!!

Here is a close up of the embossed butterfly. To emboss the butterfly simply cut out one of the bigger butterflies from your Beautiful Butterflies die and place it in-between the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder and run it through your big shot and voila!! Your butterfly has a gorgeous design on it. Cut out a smaller butterfly from the same Beautiful Butterflies die using DSP (Designer Series Paper) and attach it to the bigger butterfly adding pearls in the middle for that final finishing touch.

Products used for this Project:
Stamp Sets: Teeny Tiny Wishes and Sanded Background Stamp. Very Vintage Jumbo Wheel.
Card Stock: Baja Breeze, Not Quite Navy, Very Vanilla and Springtime Vintage DSP (Occasions mini)
Ink: Baja Breeze and Not Quite Navy
Accessories: Big Shot - Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die, Vintage Wallpaper Embossing folder (both exclusive to SU), Basic Pearls, Distressing tool.

After the overwhelming response from my club members on how much they love ..loved the card i decided to CASE the embossed butterfly idea to make this beautiful note box.

I created this for Shelli Gardner, Co founder and CEO of Stampin' Up! (SU)
A couple weeks ago SU hosted a Regional event here in Vancouver. I was called a week before the event and was asked to be a helper, help with check in and make & takes. I was super super excited!! It was such an amazing event!! Tons of samples to view along with plenty of demonstrations.. it was non stop!! -- at the end when cleaning up i had a chance to chat with Shelli.. what a great person she truly is, so genuine and sweet...!! -- ok back to the project... here is a close up of the front of the note box.

I stamped the inside with Stampin' Up!'s Statement Of the Heart stamp and added butterflies from the Beautiful Wings Embosslits dies. ---you can never have to many butterflies accessories fluttering around your craft room can you..?? : )
